Lederer to Lead U.S. Foodservice

U.S. Foodservice announced that John A. Lederer will join the company as its new president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 8. Lederer comes to U.S. Foodservice from Duane Reade, where he served as president of the New York based pharmacy retailer that Walgreens recently acquired.

Prior to Duane Reade, Lederer spent 30 years at Loblaw Companies Limited, a Canadian grocery retailer and wholesale food distributor.
