The Oneida Group Sells Foodservice Business to Crown Brands

The Oneida Group sold the majority of its foodservice business, which includes flatware, dinnerware and barware, to Crown Brands. The transaction was final as of Jan. 28, 2019. Terms were not disclosed.

The Oneida Group will continue to sell Anchor Hocking glassware to the foodservice industry. Distribution will move from Savannah, Ga., back to Lancaster, Ohio.

Crown Brands distributes commercial grade smallware, bakeware, cookware and beverageware. Crown Brands’ portfolio of foodservice manufacturers includes Focus Foodservice, Update International, Johnson-Rose (US / Canada), Co-Rect Products and Tomlinson Industries, which it acquired in October 2018.

Moving forward, The Oneida Group said it will focus on its retail flatware business and expand its specialty glass business for the wine and spirits industry.

Both Crown Brands and The Oneida Group made updates to their respective teams in December.
