Independent manufacturers’ rep firms North Star Agency and Johnson Commercial Agents have merged to become North Star Commercial Agents. The new firm will serve MAFSI Region 19, which covers the upper Midwest states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and a portion of northern Wisconsin.

Todd Anderson will serve as president of the firm and Paul Johnson will serve as vice president. “Paul and I have both been anticipating changes to the foodservice equipment market and we recognized that we would be better prepared

for these changes as partners,” said Todd Anderson.

As independent rep groups both organizations represented some key Middleby manufacturers, but NSCA will now represent the entire Middleby portfolio.

NSCA also tapped Troy Mahoney to serve as corporate chef.
