Black Bear Diner promoted Craig Cunningham to senior vice president of operations and hired Steve Standlea to serve as director of operations services for the family dining concept.

Cunningham previously served as regional vice president of operations at Black Bear Diner. In his new role, Cunningham becomes responsible for all elements of strategic planning across 34 company diners, setting financial goals for all company diners and directing seven regional managers. His background also includes operations roles at Mimi’s Cafe, Smoke Modern BBQ and Smashburger.

In his new role as director of operation services, Standlea becomes responsible for opening new restaurants and implementing support structure for new openings, serving as a liaison to the field for home office initiatives and special projects. He most recently served as director of operations for a two-concept restaurant company. Standlea’s background also includes serving as director of operations at The Simmzy’s and working in various roles for Mimi’s Cafe.
