Florida and Indiana Dealers Form new Partnership

Foodservice equipment dealers Johnson-Lancaster and Associates Inc. and Schert Foodservice Equipment Inc. have formed a new LLC: Lancaster-Schert. The strategic partnership will expand Johnson-Lancaster’s presence in the Midwest, while increasing Schert’s buying power and capitol nationally, per a release announcing the deal.

Schert Foodservice is a four-year old foodservice equipment dealership based in Indianapolis. The company will continue to manage inventory for its K-12 school customers. Schert will also continue to manage the servicing of foodservice equipment for its existing K-12 and fraternity and sorority customers. Any new sales of foodservice equipment will go through the newly formed LLC of Lancaster-Schert.

Johnson-Lancaster’s is headquartered in Clearwater, Fla., with regional offices in Maryland and Ohio. This deal provides Johnson-Lancaster with a point of entry into the Illinois and Indiana markets.

“I wanted to talk with a strong partner to better serve the Midwest market,” said Brad Lancaster, owner of Johnson-Lancaster. “We started a dialog about a year ago and determined that Adam and his company were the right fit.”

Lancaster will take on a board member role in the newly formed Lancaster-Schert Equipment LLC. Adam Schut will serve as president of Schert and Lancaster-Schert.
