Healthcare segment leads among sub-segments.
In 2013, foodservice revenues from noncommercial operators are expected to grow to grow 3.7 percent, according to data released by Technomic, a Chicago-based foodservice market research firm. Noncommercial foodservice operations accounted for 34 percent of total U.S. foodservice sales in 2012 or $200 billion, according to Technomic.
The strongest nominal growth in the healthcare (4.5 percent) and business and industry (4 percent) sub-segments.
