Xanterra Parks & Resorts Completes Series of Acquisitions

National parks concessioner expands its reach with adventure travel company, cruise ships and a hotel.

Xanterra Parks & Resorts completed a series of acquisitions, including VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations, The Grand Hotel in Tusayan, Ariz., and three all-suite luxury cruise ships purchased from Seabourn Ships that will become part of Windstar Cruises.

These acquisitions follow on the heels of other recent acquisitions: The Grand Canyon Railway in 2007, Kingsmill Resort in Virginia in 2010 and Windstar Cruises in 2011.
