Smoothie King Adds Pair of Franchise Industry Veterans to its Management Team

O'Keefe takes over as president and COO.

Smoothie King Franchises, Inc., named Tom O'Keefe the company's president and chief operating officer and re-appointed Joe Lewis, one of the chain's original executives, to the post of general counsel. This news comes shortly after SK USA acquired Smoothie King.

In his new role, O'Keefe will focus on overseeing, developing and setting the direction for the company's day-to-day operating activities. A franchise industry veteran, O'Keefe's background includes leadership roles at Anytime Fitness, Popeyes/Church's and Ruth's Hospitality Group.

Lewis' background also includes working with Sicily's Franchise Systems. He previously spent 13 years with Smoothie King.
