US Foods Opens Retail Location

Broadline distributor's Chef's Store is in Charlotte, N.C.
US Foods opened its first CHEF'STORE, a wholesale, cash-and-carry food and restaurant supply store. Located in Charlotte, N.C., US Foods' CHEF'STORE features an inventory of what it describes as 4,000 pantry staples, including a variety of non-food items such as sauté pans and cutlery.
The 30,000 square-foot store employs about 30 people.
