Move broadens disposable foodservice segment offerings for Waddington.

Waddington North America has acquired Boulder, Colo.-based Eco-Products, Inc., a manufacturer of single-use foodservice products. Eco-Products will operate as a separate division of Waddington.

Eco-Products offers a variety of environmentally friendly disposables produced with renewable, compostable, and post-consumer recycled materials. Waddington is a holding company for a number of businesses serving the North American disposable foodservice marketplace, including Polar Plastic.

This is the first acquisition for Waddington since the company was acquired by Stamford, Conn.-based Olympus Partners in October.
