Krowne Metal Corp. made two changes to its foodservice sales organization. The New Jersey-based manufacturer promoted Lindsay Komsa to national sales manager and hired Evan Priesel to serve as Eastern regional sales manager- foodservice.

Jordan Heiliczer has joined the National Restaurant Association’s public policy team as labor and workforce policy director. In this role, Heiliczer will spearhead the NRA’s efforts to “protect the restaurant business model, rebuild the workforce, and drive innovative training and workforce initiatives.”

Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies hired Daniel Wiemer to serve as key account manager on the business development team for the Ohio-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer.

Multiconcept operator Davidson Hospitality Group promoted Bill Hanson to vice president, food and beverage within Davidson Restaurant Group, the company’s dedicated food and beverage operating vertical. He previously served as corporate director of food and beverage operations for DRG.

Bar Louie introduced Mike Mrlik as the chief operating officer for the self-described gastrobar chain.

Foodservice industry veteran Mariko Sakurai was hired to serve as director of business development for the Excell and Nissco buying groups.

Playa Bowls introduced Mark Belanger as president of the superfruit bowl concept with more than 165 units across 20 states.

Jennifer Galanis was promoted to chief growth officer for TriMark USA, a Massachusetts-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer.

Diversified Foodservice Supply LLC, updated its organizational structure. This initiative includes developing the newly created role of president and chief operating officer and updating several other positions.

SPB Hospitality promoted Chef Ian Dodson to senior vice president of culinary and beverage for the multiconcept operator. The multiconcept operator also promoted Lisa Lee to senior vice president of marketing.

Farmer Boys promoted Joseph Ortiz to president and chief operating officer. Ortiz most recently served vice president of finance and accounting for the Southern California-based fast casual restaurant chain.

Low Temp Industries Inc. promoted Tracy Bennett to vice president of manufacturing and Brent Myers to vice president of human resources.

Hatco Corp. continued to add to its portfolio as the Wisconsin-based company has acquired Food Warming Equipment Company, a manufacturer specializing in heated holding cabinets, cook and hold ovens, smokers, refrigerated cabinets, transport carts, and more, with locations in Crystal Lake, Ill., and Portland, Tenn. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Applebee’s appointed Chef Scott Rodriguez to serve as senior vice president and chief culinary officer.

Carpigiani North America tapped Giacomo Paccione to serve as director of trade marketing. In his new role, Paccione assumes responsibility for the company’s development and commercial policies.

The Society for Hospitality & Foodservice Management recognized Jeanine Cosgrove-Albert of At Your Service Staffing with its Robert Pacifico Award and Bob Wolkom of Innovative Hospitality Solutions with its President’s Mentor Award. SHFM also recognized the contributions of four members with several other awards.

John Moyer was promoted to president of Great Lakes West. He succeeds Todd Heeter, who left the Michigan-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer at the end of October, per a company release.

Webb Foodservice Design Consultants has acquired Dieli Murawka Howe, a foodservice design firm with offices in San Diego and Las Vegas. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Nemco Food Equipment, a Hicksville, Ohio-based, commercial foodservice equipment manufacturer, made a series of personnel moves, notably promoting Michelle Wibel, CFSP to chief executive officer from president and Luke Moffatt, CFSP to president from sales manager, retail position. In addition to these promotions, Nemco made five other personnel moves.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop appointed Chef Josh Diekman to serve as director of culinary and executive chef for the Texas-based restaurant chain.
