Danville, Pa.-based foodservice equipment and supplies dealer Atlantic Culinary Environments promoted five team members to management roles.

Carpigiani North America, an Ali Group Company, introduced Kelly Milbrecht as its new director of service.

Deborah Derby will become president and CEO of Carrols Restaurant Group, a large Burger King and Popeye’s franchisee, effective May 1. 2023. She replaces Paulo Pena, who passed away unexpectedly in December 2022.

Don Fox is retiring from his role as president of Firehouse Subs, a restaurant chain owned by Restaurant Brands International. Mike Hancock will replace Fox as president of Firehouse Subs, U.S. and Canada.

Tuxton China tapped tabletop veteran Jeffrey Johnson to serve as director of sales.

Sammic added Roman Anglin to its U.S. sales team. Anglin spent the past six years serving as a sales representative for Food Equipment Representatives (FER), a Florida-based manufacturers’ rep firm which also represents Sammic.

Berner International recognizes several of its rep groups, while Insinger, Meiko and RSG update their networks. Zink also added a new leader to its hospitality business unit.

Michael Meche was tapped to serve as chief restaurant officer for Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Wing Zone. The chains also hired Scott Wessel to serve as chief technology officer.

In an effort to update its sales team, Alto-Shaam promoted Jennifer Voitek to a newly created role and hired two foodservice industry veterans.

Playa Bowls named restaurant industry veteran Dan Harmon as CEO of the chain specializing in superfruit bowls. Harmon succeeds Playa Bowls’ co-founder Rob Giuliani, who will continue on as the company’s chief innovation officer thus giving him a role in the concept’s strategic development.

Southbend, a Middleby Corp. company, made a trio of moves within its sales organization. Bryant Woolcock was promoted to vice president of sales at Southbend while Lauren Buyno and Brett Miller were named regional sales managers for Southbend and Crown Steam Group.

Fast-casual chain Chipotle Mexican Grill took the wraps off a new all-electric restaurant design, which includes all-electric equipment and systems. Specifically, the design features a smaller cookline and improved exhaust hoods compared to other Chipotle kitchens, per a company release.

Electric Motor Repair Co. hired Dan Gaffney in a service manager’s role for the company’s Delaware Valley branch.

In the latest in a series of personnel moves for the foodservice equipment manufacturer, Tyler George has joined Carpigiani North America as West Coast business development manager.

As part of its annual recognition efforts, Nissco Restaurant Dealer Group presented Pro Kitchen with the organization’s Dealer of the Year Award. The dealer-based foodservice equipment and supplies buying group recognized the performance of a variety of manufacturers and dealers.

Food prep and cooking equipment manufacturer Globe Food Equipment Company added Christina Wahl to its sales team.

Carpigiani North America, an Ali Group company, updated its sales and marketing organization. The new structure consists of five groupings: global strategic accounts, North America chain solutions, sales network development, Carpigiani education and marketing. With these changes, Carpigiani made a series of organizational updates.
