Chain Operating Report for March 29

Five restaurant chains announce operating and expansion update.
BJ's Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq:BJRI - News) opened a restaurant in Sacramento, Calif.

After operating for nearly 20 years as Daphne's Greek Cafe, the fast casual chain has changed its name to Daphne's California Greek. Purchased by Wreath Equity LLC in August 2010, the concept now includes healthier menu options influenced by California cuisine and a contemporary restaurant design. The restaurant chain has locations throughout the western-half of the country.

Beautiful Brands International signed an agreement with Khalid Al-Sudairy to franchise and open at least 40 Dixie Cream Donut Company stores in Saudi Arabia. The deal marks the first Dixie Cream openings in Saudi Arabia.

Continuing a relationship between the two organizations, GE Capital, Franchise Finance closed a $30 million loan to Five Guys Holdings, Inc., franchisor of Five Guys Burgers and Fries, doubling the size of the credit facility. The new facility is made up of a $5.25 million revolving line of credit and a $24.75 million term loan. Funding was provided through GE Capital, Franchise Finance's bank affiliate, GE Capital Financial, Inc.

LongHorn Steakhouse opened a location in Toledo, Ohio.
