Chain Restaurant Report for Nov. 23

Restaurant chains Brio Tuscan Grille, CPK, Domino’s, Tootie Pie Gourmet Café and U-SWIRL all opened new locations.

BRIO Tuscan Grille, a BRAVO | BRIO Restaurant Group (NASDAQ:BBRG) concept, opened its first a location in Newark, Del., its first in that state.

California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (NASDAQ:CPKI), opened its first full-service location in Tucson, Ariz.
Fast-casual foodservice operator Corner Bakery Cafe opened a Clifton, N.J. This cafe is the first of 35 planned locations to open within eight years in the region by franchisee The Briad Group, based in Livingston, N.J.

Domino's Pizza (NYSE:DPZ), opened a location in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is the first store the pizza delivery giant has opened in Vietnam.

Tootie Pie Company Inc. (OTCBB:TOOT) announced plans to open its fourth Tootie Pie Gourmet Café. The company acquired the former Mahaley’s Bake Shop location and assets in Fredericksburg, Texas and will convert it to its newest café.

Franchisee River Jordan has signed an agreement to open a U-SWIRL self-serve frozen yogurt café in Marietta, Ga. The location is scheduled to open by mid-February 2011.
