California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPKI), opened a new location in Bridgewater, N.J.

Denny’s Corporation (NASDAQ: DENN) opened its first Denny’s Café location, marking the restaurant chain’s entry into the fast-casual segment. Denny’s Café offers a more streamlined menu, counter service ordering and a smaller footprint that allows for easier entrance into urban, more densely populated markets, according to a company press release. Orange, Calif., is home to the first Denny’s Café location.

LongHorn Steakhouse opened its first location in Arkansas, in the city of Fort Smith.

Pollo Campero opened a location in Downtown Disney Marketplace on the campus of the Orlando, Fla.-based theme park. Pollo Campero also opened its first Fresh A-Peel restaurant, featuring made-to-order fresh selections.

Red Lobster announced plans to remodel all of its nearly 700 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada in a style reminiscent of the seaside village of Bar Harbor, Maine.

Saladworks, a fresh-tossed salad concept, signed a franchise agreement that calls for multiple units to open in Anne Arundel County, Md., during the second quarter of 2011.

For its fiscal third quarter ending Oct. 3, 2010, Wendy’s/Arby’s Group, Inc. reported that same store sales at its Wendy’s locations declined by 1.7 percent. Same store sales at Arby’s declined by 5.9 percent.
