Former Benihana executive takes on a new role with the steakhouse chain.
Black Angus Steakhouse named Christopher Ames the president and chief executive officer of the 45-unit restaurant chain. Ames succeeds Meredith Taylor, who will remain a member of Black Angus's Board of Directors and an equity holder in the company.
Ames brings a 31-year career in restaurant management, most recently serving as chief operating officer for Benihana Restaurants. His background also includes working at Cosi Restaurants, The Patina Group and California Pizza Kitchen.
